Metrics status progress

1. I've noticed the status of the metrics signal is still Alpha, is there any plan about how long the metrics stable version will be released? Cause there's a lot of difference between go-SDK and specification, IMO.
2. For services using Prometheus API, is there a plan to export metrics to OTLP in SDK, similar to jaeger's bridge? Thanks
