No, unfortunately currently it is not possible to filter these out.
There's an open issue (open-telemetry/opentelemetry-specification#3324) and a PR (open-telemetry/opentelemetry-specification#3566) in the spec repo about adding a "filter" predicate that'll allow to remove some of the metrics.
