Is there any way to export Histogram/ValueRecorder metrics (push based)?

Hey,
I've recently tried implementing the experimental metrics release (1.10a0) using the otlp-proto-grpc exporter, and the opentelemetry collector as a receiver (which translates them to prometheus metrics).

Everything seemed to be in order except with the ValueRecorder metric types which are skipped in this exporter.

Looking into it (including earlier versions of the exporters) I couldn't find any exporter that manages to export these metrics so the collector can gather them, aside from the prometheus exporter, which I'd like to avoid using.

I was wondering if there is anything I might've missed that could help currently.

Hello @Nowam

The previous metrics release is being superseded by work in the _metrics directory you can find in the API and SDK package. We are currently working on finishing the SDK implementation.

However I see that the metric exporters still haven't been added yet, so currently there is no out of the box way to export metrics, right?

With the code in _metrics, no, not yet. We are working on getting them in.
