I suggest that we drop this and every other aliases entry that was added via this PR (#3108), and replace it by a single wildcard redirect rule in this README.md file. I'll create a separate issue to track this.

@vitorvasc - I think that the redirect rule we want is this (test it out locally and/or in the PR branch preview):

redirects: [{ from: 'database/*', to: ':splat' }]

Or the from might need to be ./database/*. Edit: no we can't do that yet, see open-telemetry/opentelemetry.io#8532.

We might need an extra rule for the README file itself, but first test the rule above to see if it also catches the redirect of the index page, if not add this:

aliases: [database]

[thompson-tomo]

Yes, you're right @thompson-tomo, because (I'm just realizing now) redirects doesn't have full support for relative-paths yet. I've opened an issue for that: open-telemetry/opentelemetry.io#8532.
