federation - fediverse posts still exist after a trail was set to private

Hi all!

Today I played around with my new Wanderer instance and also took a look at the federation. So far everything works, and I can see new trails in my Mastodon timeline. Posts in the Fediverse are only created once I set a trail to “public,” which is fine. Unfortunately, the posts are not removed when I switch a trail back to “private.” I think it would be good if users could rely on all public information about a trail being removed once it’s set back to “private.”

Maybe user-specific settings would be a good approach here—for example, whether a post should be deleted or set to “followers only,” etc., when a user no longer wants a trail to be public.
