Connecting OpenTCS 5.17 with VDA 5050 0.20.0

Hi I am trying to connect OpenTCS 5.17 with VDA 5050 0.20.0.
Initially, I cloned OpenTCS 5.17.0 and opentcs-commadapter-vda5050 0.20.0 and changed all the required things in the code. i ran command ./gradlew clean build on both the folder after changes in build.gradles and settings.gradle etc. the build was successful.
When trying to run OpenTCS Operation Desk, it says cannot connect with Kernel.
And also Kernel is running, ModelViewEditior and KernelControlCenter all the running.
