Adding Codex history automatically to ChatGPT account chat history

This feature is supported in prompts made in the Atlas browser. Would be great and super helpful if Codex could also do that.

Are you using Codex web or one of our local Codex clients (CLI or IDE extension)?

The web version of Codex does keep its history in the cloud. The local clients keep their histories local to the machine on which they are running. Are you saying that you'd like to see the local history also maintained in the cloud? Just want to clarify what you're looking for.

Sure. I'm using CLI. What I was inquiring about is to load the history (from the local machine) to ChatGPT conversations' history automatically, to have an auto-sync, so ChatGPT conversations can also reference the same Codex conversation history.

Now is only possible by manually exporting the Codex session history from the local machine and uploading it to ChatGPT.

Can you say more about the use case you have in mind?

It sounds like #2153 may already capture what you're suggesting here. If so, let's close this in favor of the existing issue, which already has numerous upvotes.
