[FEATURE REQ] Lack of support for the max_tool_calls parameter

I might need to use the max_tool_calls field setting, but I didn't see it in the SDK, I only saw max_output_tokens.
I understand that the SDK is a wrapper for the API, but I'm not quite sure why max_tool_calls is missing when configuring parameters.

Additional context

I noticed that version 2.6 only supports ResponseReasoningEffortLevel.Minimal, and this property can be directly set in the API request. I don't understand why the support for Minimal was overlooked when ResponseReasoningEffortLevel was initially set.

Would you please provide additional detail, including a code snippet that demonstrates creating your client and invoking the operation that you're asking about?

In the general sense, when a specific attribute is not present in the client API, it is usually because the OpenAI service is still evolving quickly and often outpaces the REST API specification available to us for client generation. As the spec is enhanced upstream and the TypeSpec version published, the changes are reflected into the client API surface once the new version is integrated.

The SDK does not provide the following parameter in the API: max_tool_calls

@The-Mojoo: Thank you for the additional context. The attribute is a more recent addition that is not yet represented in the REST API spec used for client generation. Once the spec is updated to include this area and a new version published, we'll include it in the client.

In the meantime, you can set it using the JSON Patch feature added in 2.6.0:
