When prompting, is it possible to define a special delimiting chararcter?

According to the prompting guide you can supply a , delimited term list as a prompt and you should get a good transcription, which I do. However there is a 244 character limit, and trying to use a single delimiting character like / or | results in the output having no spaces occasionally. Is there a way to tell Whisper to treat a character as a prompt delimiter?
