Well, reinstalled Ray. It opened to a welcome screen asking for Select Media or YouTube link. Clicked Settings. License activated, yes. License key filled in. Version 2025-01-12.Pasted in local file name. Wouldn't download processed file.So, it doesn't do what I need, that is process local files. So much for that. Thanks for responding. Just to clarify — the YouTube link field only accepts links to actual YouTube videos; it won't work with local file paths. To process a local video file, you’ll need to use the “Browse” button to select the file directly from a folder on your computer. Once the video starts playing, you can enable captions in the player to generate subtitles.

If anyone's wondering how to enter their email, I ended up typing mine into Notepad and then copying it from there and pasting it into the box by right-clicking it.

Tried it with different videos with diff languages and I keep getting an error that it couldn't generate subs for the audio and it can't get a Content ID. If I let it load, I get stuck on a "Captions are delayed due to high demand." error. Any idea how long I should wait for?

It was mentioned in the Faq that the program can run in Offline Mode. But I did not find such an option in the player settings. It seems that the program works online only. Or has this feature not been implemented yet?

Offline Mode: In this mode, all media files are processed locally on your device. ASTRA, our AI engine, performs all subtitle generation and translation directly on your system without sending any data to external servers. This ensures that your media content remains completely private and secure, with no data leaving your device.

Very awesome project, some suggestions:

1. can it provide a local GPU option? It seems the sub generation is queued up heavily on the server side and I don't mind using my own GPU to avoid the queue.
2. some featuers on the caption generation in the video like: input language, output language, etc so that we are able to control the translation.
3. caption style could be given with some display examples.

Some users have requested the ability to generate subtitles using their local CPU/GPU. This is a feature we're working on. For on-device processing, we intend to use a modified version of Whisper, since it can run on consumer-grade devices, whereas the system we're currently using is too large to run on consumer-grade devices. I was not able to make the program work or load.
I installed it on my Android TV 14 box, I get the welcome screen, it shows me "get started", I click on it, but nothing.
it is like it doesn't register that I clicked on it, so it is stuck on that screen.

Also it doesn't show up as an installed on my box. no Icon in App draw and not listed as an installed App in "settings -> Apps".
the only way to attempt loading it again is by re-installing it each time you want to try and load it.
Because after installation you get a prompt either "Done" or "Open", so selecting the "open" is the only way to load it. but you must go through the installation process in order to see the "Open" prompt option.
