Error installing Whisper

Getting the following error message when attempting to install whisper. I'm not too familiar with the python ecosystem – pip3 exists on my system, but not pip. Rust is installed and up to date.

Running on a Macbook pro M1, macOS 12.4 Monterey

maybe you can try to install setuptools and mmp first:
sudo pip3 install setuptools-rust
and also need to install ffmpeg before install whisper

Would these dependencies normally be included in the install script's dependencies? I don't understand why this is a problem (yet again) in 2025 but it can't seem to tell the user what the issue is or to recognize its own depencies.
