each template should have a simple checklist, stored with it, with simple TODOs for the user to ensure the template is ready to go. For example, something simple like turning on Github Pages for the repo, or defining an environment variable. It works for airplanes, it works for software engineering, it can work for openbases! If there is some fun / standard / Githubby way of doing this, (other than like):

Checklist

• do the thing
• eat asparagus
• pet your robot

we should do that, if it's fun.
