AFAIK, something like this. Personally I've just let it power off, but yes i've had a few sdcard failures. |

For me, I have a Raspberry Pi 3b, but I did have a Raspberry Pi 4 running Crankshaft. I use a cigarette lighter charger that supplies 5 volts in either: 3 amp for USB C (was used for Pi 4) As I am now running a Pi 3b, I am now using the USB C port to charge up my phone whilst Pi is running (USB voltage wasn't enough to charge my phone) using one of these: https://thepihut.com/products/5v-usb-c-dual-supply-dual-ideal-diodes (lead from Pi going into DATA and PWR port, and lead from the charger to PWR). Also as a side note I always exit Android Auto and shutdown Crankshaft with the on screen power buttons, waiting for the Pi's LED to turn red only and then unplug the charger and switch my car off. |

Hi,
Loving this project. I'm currently building a system for my car. Do people generally just power the raspberry pi from a USB accessory adapter? Is it bad to constantly be turning of the power to the system and having it essentially crash every time you drive somewhere?
Thanks!
