PROJECT: OIDC for Tobira

Osnabrück University is looking for a native authentication integration using OpenID Connect for Tobira. What this essentially means is that user should be able to log in via OIDC (Keycloak, Authentic, Dex, …) as part of the general SSO infrastructure.

The Authorization – at least by default – on the other hand should happen via Opencast with a mechanism similar to what Tobira is already using when delegating authentication and authorization to Opencast right now. This means that the same access rules (Opencast roles) are used as with other Opencast components. This even stretches to LMS when the LMS-based user providers are used.
