PDF Preview broken?

Hello,

I'm testing OpenCloud as a replacement for my NextCloud and so far it's really impressive.
Noticed that by default PDF file is opened by pdf-viewer and it just allows you to download the PDF rather than previewing it looks weird to me
Right clicking on any PDF opens up this context menu:

When I select Open (top one with eye) then it opens up in a frame:
However all it does is popup a download window

Of course if I choose Open with OnlyOffice it works. Either I need the native PDF Preview to work -or- how can I make OnlyOffice default to open PDF as well? It now only open any Office docs.

Dear @thecoffeebin normally you can open directly the file in the viewer shows the content of the PDF as Preview / File. I guess this is related to your PDF.

Questions here:

• Where was the PDF generated in?
• Whats the content in the PDF? Just text, rendered text or also Vector or images inside?

I doublechecked with a normal generated txt-PDF. I see the content without downloading. Downloading mostly shows, that the file can't previewed by the viewer.

Hi @db-ot sorry for the delayed response as the Github notification email was not well received :)

  They're all PDF with rendered text+images, like receipts, invoices, manual and so on. I would expect the PDF Viewer to be able to open them without an issue regardless of the PDF type. So far the workaround is to open them with OnlyOffice which is 100% working for all PDFs.

For PDFs, right click > "Open" is the same as right click > "Open with" > "PDF Viewer". Both open the browser native PDF viewer. Is that working for you in general? Your screenshots suggest that there is some issue with that. How does it look in other browsers?

There is no option to change the default app at the moment. This feature is on our roadmap for the future.
