Upstream shared library fix

Does the current fork contain the upstream shared library fix? If not, it seems like a good thing to pull, as it seems to be an important step at de-bogonizing D's shared library support.

It has upstream master as of yesterday. I expect pulling from there will be easy for a while, but not forever.

Nice. What about the string interpolation PR? Could we just pull that now? I assume it already works as advertised in its topic branch, it was just a matter of pulling into master?

Yes, of course that was immediately pulled into the dmd fork. I haven't applied it to ldc yet but I think I see how.

Note that Atila, yesterday, got it rewritten as a DIP thing too so who knows, maybe you'll see it upstream some day too.

Ha, maybe it'll appear in upstream in the next 2 years? I just compiled the forked dmd/phobos, going to test drive it now.

Wonder if it's worthwhile to have a dedicated page for tracking features pulled into openD that isn't in upstream. Could be something to point to that might draw a few more contributors from upstream, people that have been waiting for these things since like forever ago.

IMHO it will be beneficial. One way might be labeling such PRs

In fact, if everything works fine, this fork may help convincing the foundation to integrate these features too (at least those, that were not outright refused already).

That's actually my hope -- that this drastic action of forking the language would force the foundation to take action and listen to the community, instead of continuing in their present direction.
