When digitising linear features on a layer, the user needs to select the 'green tick' at the bottom right of the screen to complete the feature. From 3.6.0 onwards, a bug exists where an additional vertex is added 'under' the 'green tick' when the 'green tick' is selected.
In figure 1, a linear feature has been drawn, ending where the red arrow has been drawn. The stylus has been moved to hover over the 'green tick' button, which is used to complete the feature.
In figure 2, the result of having selected the 'green tick' button is shown, with an additional line between the intended end point and the position of the 'green tick' button on screen, which has been highlighted with black crosses.
If the user attempts to get around the issue by lifting the stylus away from the screen and using a finger to press the 'green tick' button to complete the feature, an additional vertex is added at the centre of the screen instead. The only workaround that I can see at the moment, is to move the canvas so that the intended end of the linear feature is over the 'green tick' before selecting it, but this still adds an unwanted additional vertex.
