Vertical Grid Shift not respected by Photo details stamping #6541

Description

@Smilhjan

What is the bug or the crash? What were your expectations and what actually happened?

Hello!

When using altitude correction via vertical grid shift file, altitude is correctly adjusted and shown in positionig information onscreen. However, stamped photos do not respect the corrected altitude and instead use the non-corrected altitude. Without using grid shift file, altitudes are identical on screen and on stamped picture.

Image stamping details in QGIS project settings are left unchanged, just translated to German:
[...] Höhe: [% coalesce(format_number(z(@gnss_coordinate), 3) || ' m', 'N/A') %]

Grid shift file used:
GCG2016v2023.tif from
Gesamt Georeferenzierung: GEO89, Format: 8 Formate (ZIP, 24 MB)

Best wishes,
Kai

Steps to reproduce the issue

  1. [no grid shift file selected] take photo --> altitude stamped onto picture matches altitude on screen
  2. [grid shift file selected] take photo --> altitude stamped onto picture does not match altitude on screen

Reinstall QField

  • I have a fresh install of the latest QField version, but the problem persists.
  • Problem can be reliably reproduced, doesn't happen randomly.
  • Problem happens with all files and projects, not only some files or projects.
