Errors when building examples on ubuntu 18.04 with gcc 7.5.0

Hi dear author,
It's a great honor to write a letter here, I'm reading the book 9th nowadays, but the examples can not be built on ubuntu 18.04 with gcc. can you fix the error?

my advice, which is cheap, worth about 2 cents:

there are several forks of this code. check Insights and look at the network graph. there are several github users who have fixed these issues.

consider cloning the repo from someone else in the network graph.
