As @dsoprea pointed out, this is an actively maintained project (check the commit logs)

@lillyjames373 i would advise against opening issues like this in future without basis, it can exacerbate existing problems that burden maintainers, like notification fatigue: where maintainers may not attend to more important issues, and in this case, it could cause confusion to new people in this community.

RULE OF THUMB: I usually wait 2 years or more before considering writing a "is this project actively maintained?" issue, only after checking the README.md, recent commit history & current open issues first, more often than not there is already one open if its legitimately unmaintained.

While this opened issue may not make a significant problem, in aggregate it can cause significant issues if left unchecked, maintainers burnout is a serious issue.

On this basis, I would advise this issue be deleted.
