Sending book metadata to Thoth

User story

As a user of the Janeway books plugin, I have to copy-paste metadata into multiple systems, one of which is Janeway, to make sure it goes out into the world and ends up in all the right feeds and systems.

Possible solution

Thoth Metadata solves book publishers' metadata distribution problems by taking in metadata in their own schema and then transforming it and distributing it in a variety of structures and formats to a variety of places. We could build a Thoth plugin on Janeway that lets users deposit metadata to Thoth, and sync metadata from Thoth if it is changed there.

Question for discussion: who would use it, and how?

One question I have is how many people might use this tool, and how it would fit into your workflows.

I know @hinefuku you are very interested in this, having talked to you at the COPIM conference last week. I also know your workflow involves Pressbooks, so the ability to ingest metadata from Pressbooks would be good as well.

What are others' workflows? In particular I'm looking to hear from people who use the books plugin or are considering using it.
