Recommend standard Linear Reference System (LRS)

It is beneficial to have all cities provide curb zone (and curb object) locations with a standard LRS to streamline data consumption. It will be great if OMF can provide guidance and/or a convertor to turn spatial data into LRS.

Currently SMFTA's digital curb project partner provided LRS data from OpenLR. But

A breaking change would require consumers or implementors of an API to modify their code for it to continue to function (ex: renaming of a required field or the change in data type of an existing field). A non-breaking change would allow existing code to continue to function (ex: addition of an optional field or the creation of a new optional endpoint).

Can you share more about your needs? Are you looking for LRS to be supported in the Curbs API with new data fields? And/or are you looking for a way to convert CDS geographic polygons into LRS?

I don't think the latter (a CDS to LRS programatic conversion) would be possible with only CDS data (there is no start location to a curb in CDS that LRS would start from), so it would need a field like this added, or outside data would be needed.

For the former (LRS in CDS) there could be a number of optional fields added, if this LRS data tracking is needed by you and the community.
