Who is funding what ?

This issue will serve as a working list of funders and funding mechanisms supported by public, verifiable data.

Use this issue to catalog additional datasets we should include. Ideally, provide the following details for each funder or funding program:

• Funder Name
• Funding mechanism(s): e.g., Quadratic Funding (QF), Direct Grants, Retro Funding, etc.
• Funding rails: Onchain / Off-chain / Hybrid (if onchain, include the chain name).
• Links to relevant public sources of funding data: We'll review this and create separate issues for integrating the data here.

Current Snapshot

We have cataloged nearly $800M in grant funding so far, but this is just scratching the surface. Many more grant programs are not included here, and several listed programs have disbursed additional funding that hasn't been updated recently.
