hello ,
My name is Sachintha Nadeeshan, and I am an undergraduate student in Computer Science with a strong background in Python, C++, and Computer Vision. I am highly interested in contributing to the Gesture Control with OpenVINO project for GSoC 2025.

In the past, I developed a project called Virtual Calculator, which involves gesture recognition to perform real-time computations on a screen using hand gestures. This experience has given me hands-on knowledge in building interactive systems based on real-time hand tracking and gesture recognition, which I believe aligns well with the objectives of this project.

I have a few clarifications regarding the project:

• Will there be any specific hardware requirements for the gesture recognition, or is the focus primarily on software optimization?
• Are there any existing models that we will be using for this project, or is there flexibility to explore different architectures?
• Should the final system support gestures in real-time, or is there room for some latency in the processing pipeline?

I am excited about the opportunity to contribute to this project and further enhance the gesture control capabilities with OpenVINO. Looking forward to your feedback and guidance.
