2.3 for RHEL 9/10 release schedule

For both versions only 2.2.9 are present in the kmod repo. But on the website, the 2.2 tree will lost the green bar. So for me it looks like 2.2 are EOL. But 2.3 are only present in the testing repo of kmod for RHEL 9/10.
So the big question what are the current state?

The default zfs repo continues to be 2.2 on EL. However, we recently added versioned repos which let you run whatever major branch you want. For example, if you just want to run the 2.3.x branch:

sudo dnf config-manager --disable "zfs*"
sudo dnf config-manager --enable zfs-2.3
sudo dnf install zfs

This works for 2.2.x, 2.3.x and 2.4.x. Make sure you have the zfs-release-3-0 RPM installed first though, since those have the updated zfs.repo file:

dnf install https://zfsonlinux.org/epel/zfs-release-3-0$(rpm --eval "%{dist}").noarch.rpm

Ah, thanks for the clarification. I see the structure on the download server for the repo.
As I understand you correct,the 2.2 tree are not EOL for the EL repos?

@mdc-webdb I would describe 2.2 as in maintenance mode. We would probably only put out a new 2.2 release if it failed to build on EL, or there was a major data corruption bug or security issue.

@tonyhutter That's exactly what I meant. Critical errors are being fixed, but nothing new is being ‘built in’ anymore.
