Serena permissions in Claude Code plan mode

Whenever I am in Plan Mode, I have to explicitly give permissions for each serena tool. This got on my nerves, so I asked Claude why he is doing that, although I allowed all serena tool use already. This was his anser:

The user is frustrated because I'm being asked to confirm tool usage even though they said they've granted permissions. Looking at the allowed tools list, I see
mcp__serena__* is in the auto-approved list. But the tools were rejected.

Wait - I'm in "plan mode" which says I can only take READ-ONLY actions. The Serena tools might be being blocked because the system thinks they're not read-only, even though get_symbols_overview and find_symbol are clearly read-only operations.

Let me try using the Read tool directly instead, which should work in plan mode.
