Why using str type for path, instead of Path?

Hi, in symbol_tools.py, I see the relative_path are all in str type, it seems that it will be more robust if using Path type?
AI told me using str type will be more convinent in MCP development, is that true?

It has to be a json native type in the tools because for the communication via MCP things are serialized to json
