Convert edit upload description field in Matrix field

I am trying to convert the upload description field from textarea to matrix field.

I see that the template is inside a blade file, and I try like below:

But didn't works, as I see that upload_controller it's looking for a single description input.

I would post this in Ideas category, because it will allow to add more information to single file, by making this configurable with default textarea or a matrix field. So there is not BC. Or would be also interesting to add a new JSON column for handle this.
