Virtual Loan Tool and Developer Mode #1137
-
|
First, I want to say that the virtual loan tool (VLT) is fantastic! Great job whoever thought of it, made it a reality and continue to maintain it. Second, my question: Does anyone know if it possible to enable developer mode on devices from the VLT? When I try to follow the steps in the developer documentation I'm unable to retrieve an OAK because the devices in VLT don't have outgoing access to the internet. |

This automatically generated reply acts as a friendly reminder. Answers to your questions will most often come from the community, from developers like yourself. You will, from time to time, find that Axis employees answers some of the questions, but this is not a guarantee. Think of the discussion forum as a complement to other support channels, not a replacement to any of them. If your question remains unanswered for a period of time, please revisit it to see whether it can be improved by following the guidelines listed in Axis support guidelines. |

Hi @apljungquist ,
VAPIX Documentation:
I will check with AXIS Virtual Loan Tool team about any alternative ways or it is a known limitation 😕 |

I think I have found a workaround for this:
brew install privoxy
brew services start privoxy
ssh -R 8118:localhost:8118 -p <PORT> VLTuser@<HOST>
Is using such a workaround considered acceptable? |
