Echo Music now supports Google Cast and DLNA, allowing you to stream audio to compatible speakers, TVs, and other devices on your home network. To enable these features, the app must request Nearby Devices and Location permissions. These permissions are required by Android so the app can discover cast-capable devices on your Wi-Fi network.

If you never use Cast or DLNA, these permissions remain unused.
How Device Discovery Works

The only limitation is that Google Cast and DLNA will not be available, since the app cannot discover devices on your network without the required permissions.
