🎯 Project Vision

LENR Academy aims to be an open platform for LENR research, education, and collaboration. The initial release focuses on making Dr. Alexander Parkhomov's nuclear reaction data accessible through a modern web interface—a React/TypeScript reimplementation of the original Nanosoft Package PHP application.

This is just the starting point. The Parkhomov tables are one dataset among many, and this tool is one component of what lenr.academy could become.

All three query tools share these core capabilities:

• Interactive periodic table selection - Multi-element input via visual interface

1. Fusion Query (A + B → C)

• 1,389 exothermic reactions where two nuclei combine into one heavier nucleus
• Two input element selectors + one output selector

2. Fission Query (A → B + C)

• 817 exothermic reactions where heavy nuclei split into lighter products
• One input selector + two output selectors

3. Two-to-Two Query (A + B → C + D)

• 516,789 exothermic 2→2 transmutation reactions
• Two input selectors + two output selectors
• Most comprehensive reaction set in the database

4. Show Element Data - Interactive periodic table browser

   • Click any element to see comprehensive properties
   • Isotope selection with stability indicators
   • Boson/Fermion badges for each nuclide
   • URL-based deep linking (/element-data?Z=26&A=56)
   • Displays: melting/boiling points, density, electronegativity, magnetic properties, binding energy, half-life

   • Will model multi-step transmutation pathways when engine is complete

Note: The 154MB parkhomov.db file is tracked outside of git, via publicly accessible S3 endpoint: db.lenr.academy. In production it's served from the same endpoint as the app. For local development, see CONTRIBUTING.md.

🐛 Known Limitations

• Mobile Performance: Large result sets (10k+ rows) can be sluggish on older phones
• Browser Compatibility: Requires modern browser with WebAssembly support (Chrome 70+, Firefox 65+, Safari 14+)
• Initial Load: 154MB download on first visit (cached afterward)
• Cascade Logic: Simulation engine UI exists but core algorithm needs refinement

While the Parkhomov tables and core query tools lay the scientific foundation, LENR Academy can grow into a much richer ecosystem of discovery, visualization, and historical insight. This tool would let users overlay, scale, rotate, and transform a geometric cross-section of the FTM directly over any image—whether uploaded locally, loaded from a URL, or captured in real-time through a camera.

Potential uses include:

• Aligning experimental setups with geometric field structures
• Exploring FTM symmetry relationships in natural and artificial systems

Features could include:

• Researcher profiles and experiment summaries

Im really excited to incorporate a 3D "island of stability" map for the isotopes. I think we need to probably have the option to display multiple charts at the same time, where something selected on on is highlighted in the others. Also would be good to be able to customize the data that can be visualized. Mainly because we cant figure out how to show it all on one chart!
