Strange "cracking" noise when making a call with a Bluetooth device connected

Hey folks,
when my phone is connected to a Bluetooth device (Sony Linkbuds or Android Auto) and I initiate a call, I hear a very loud cracking noise as soon as the other party answers the call.
The noise is only heard once at the beginning and only when a Bluetooth device is actively connected and the call is being made through that device.
The sound wasn't there as long as I was using the Google phone app.

App version: 1.3.1 (Google Play Store)
Android: 15
Device: Pixel 8

Before I open a new issue, I wanted to ask if other users are experiencing the same behaviour?
