What's the Archives storage for?

File Manager has Archives between Documents and Others in the Storage tab, but wtf is all that for? it's 9.8GB and i've got no clue what's safe to delete

Mostly compressed files, but it also displays generic binary files there (.tmp files). You need to check the information in every file (path, etc.) to determine if it's safe to delete. To make it easy, you can sort the list by size.
