Question about entering GSM codes with letters

Hello,

I have a question for you.
How do you enter a GSM code that includes letters on the keyboard,
e.g., ##BCR##

When I hold down the 2 key for an extended period, nothing happens.

If I copy this code using the clipboard, the letters disappear immediately.

However, when I paste this code into the default Lineage phone app, it executes immediately.
