Hey! You have a great sense of timing as we've been working on Tags for the past ~2 weeks :) Exactly all the things you asked for correspond to what we want to include in the first release, so I hope to make you happy in not too long. If you encounter any more examples in the wild, e.g. other docs that already have tags in some way, you'd help me a lot if you can share links/screenshots over here 🤞 |

I would love the ability to add labels to specific pages so that users can see a little extra information at a glance.
For example, at Channable we regularly release features in a 'Beta' state. It would be nice to have a 'beta' label next to a page title so that users can see at a glance that the documenation is about a feature that isn't yet available to all users. Right now, I have to just write it out in brackets at the end of the title, like this:
Another use case would be to label something as 'New', so users scanning the sidebar can see that we're releasing new features.
We also have a changelog, and I would like the ability to add one or multiple tags to a changelog entry, so that users could see (for example), that the most recent changelog update includes a 'bug fix', a 'UI update', an 'Improvement' and/or 'new features'.
I could even see a use-case where a label could be used to flag a feature as part of a specific plan, e.g. a 'Pro' feature, so users can see at a glance that they would need to pay extra for it.
I think this would be most useful if visible in the sidebar, but it could also be shown on the labelled page itself, perhaps just below the title, and just above the page description.
