I came across this group through the meetup that is happening in Brighton next week and was very interested to see what it was all about! I have always had a keen interest in innovative ways of being greener in my day to day roles in technology, especially now with the huge availability of tools like ChatGPT and how much power they require to run.

My most recent role was at the Financial Times where I was the Technical Director for Engineering Enablement - so a lot of the areas the group was responsible for around Operational and Engineering Excellence allowed for an application of thinking green, be it finding greener ways to use AWS technologies or supporting the rollout of tools like Copilot.
