Description of issue

Hi all, I am on a Intel MacBook Pro with Sequoia 15.2 updated. I want to install wine with home brew. I follwed the instructions, everything seems fine, but when I try to open an .exe program from the terminal I have the following error:

002c:fixme:actctx:parse_depend_manifests Could not find dependent assembly L"Microsoft.Windows.Common-Controls" (6.0.0.0)
wine: could not open working directory L"Z:\\Users\\mailmasterc\\Downloads\\", starting in the Windows directory.
wine: could not load kernel32.dll, status c0000135

Could someone please help me to understand the problem? Thank you very much.

So the install works, but the tool does not? That seems like something to ask upstream about.

Looks like three separate issues.

First being not able to find needed symbols

Second, lack of permissions to ~/Downloads

Third, seems like a possible corrupted wineprefix

Could you suggest me any possible solution? Since I just installed from homebrew, and I didn't change any configuration, how can I solve it?

@Gcenx maintains the Wine binaries we ship: https://github.com/Gcenx/macOS_Wine_builds/releases. They are very responsive to issues and a pleasure to work with. I'd suggest you open an issue on that repository.
