macos-15-intel x86_64 bottles

Any ideas on how to include bottle uploads for macos-15-intel (Sequoia x86_64) bottle with Homebrew's GitHub tap actions/runners? My tap release excludes the x64 macos-15-intel bottle that was created in the release's pull request 7 Artifacts:

Brew test-bot steps

These steps run when anthumchris/homebrew-tap#12 was created. I created a new step "Build macOS x86_64 bottle" below, because Homebrew does not build the macos-15-intel bottle itself.

A bottle cannot be built unless all of the dependencies also are bottled on the specified architecture.
To create a bottle for gnupg@2.5 you would need to also create macos-15-intel bottles for everything else in the dependency tree.

What is the recommended solution for tap maintainers moving forward?

GitHub's current runners only support macOS x64 with macos-15-intel (Sequoia) and they incorrectly include macos-13, which was deprecated, in that list. When using brew tap-new, Homebrew creates tests.yml with runners: os: [ ubuntu-22.04, macos-15-intel, macos-26 ]

Would Homebrew need to start shipping macos-15 (Sequoia) bottles for tap maintainers to satisfy the unbottled test below? We no longer have access to the macos-14 (Sonoma) runner and are limited to macos-15-intel (Sequoia).

We are winding down support for Intel and will no longer be doing any mass bottling for that platform. Our planned timeline is outlined here.

If you wish to continue distributing Intel bottles, you will need to build and host bottles for all dependencies yourself within your tap. Practically, this means replacing depends_on "gnutls" with a tap-local formula (for example, anthumchris/tap/gnutls) and doing the same for every dependency in the graph.

Thanks @p-linnane, in the meantime should tap maintainers try to extend the tap's publish.yaml and related action Homebrew/actions/git-try-push that is invoked when tagging our PRs with pr-pull? Given that my bottle is successfully built with GitHub's macos-15-intel runner, could we try to intercept that publish action and insert the generated hash (or rename to sha256 x86_64_sequoia: ...):

I couldn't find options for brew test-bot to build a "previous version" macOS 14 Sonoma bottle (similar to invoking brew unbottled --tag sonoma), so I'm trying to weigh possible solutions until Intel support ends.

I'm not completely sure I understand what you're asking. Bottles are built on their own version of macOS. You can't build bottles for macOS 14 on macOS 15.
