License deletion & validation results

Question
If a license is deactivated via the UI and then deleted, the license is still visible in the API. However, you can no longer see this license in the UI. Can you tell why this is so? Would it be possible here to remove the license from the API as well?

NetLicensing UI uses the same NetLicensing RESTful API and any changes in both modules are immediately reflected in the NetLicensing systems.
