Strange behavior on first run on Andr 7 AOSP timer for loading layout freezes

I successfully created the RVX apk for Andr6-7 with Manager app, then I installed it on Sam Note8 with Andr7.1.1 and on HTC Sense rom Andr6.0.1 and a bunch of other Andr6 devices, and all is well - but on Andr7.1.1 AOSP system on first run after install, it shows the timer counting down from 10sec to load the layout, but it always freezes the timer at 9-7 sec, then I can cancel the timer and then proceed with the rest of the instructions and I end with a non-working RVX. I can log in to my account, but RVX shows me no vids and is behaving like the layout was not loaded in that initial run when it freezes the timer.
I tried uninstall/re-install of both gms core and clear data for both apps. Anyone seen this before?

You are using an unofficial fork.

YouTube dropped support for Android 6-7 almost a year ago.

Either find a custom ROM of Android 8.0+, upgrade your device, or use an app such as NewPipe that still works with very old devices.

Though I appreciate your time and willingness to help, I am well aware of what I'm doing, and I have used NewPipe before and BravePipe etc - But I have a collection of old devices running custom roms made by XDA devs for the past 12 years. Since the RVX apk, made with kitadai31's fork, installs and works as well as it can work on many of my old devices/roms except this one AOSP Andr7.1.1 rom, I am asking if anyone has seen this freezing on the layout loading timer. I'm hoping it's a simple something and some one has encountered this before - If helping a user like me that is using almost-dead unsupported revanced is too much to ask, just say so. However if someone else reads this and knows what this problem is, then please tell me. Thanks.

This is in case anyone searching for key words like freezing on 10 sec countdown on initial layout loading first run 👍
This problem is rom-speciffic. I have installed RVX on many Andr7.x.x roms and only one rom has this problem. The cause is still unknown, but if you can get RVX working on another AOSP rom 7.x.x, you can use Titanium to restore RVX app DATA from a working install to the installed RVX in a rom that has this problem, and that works fine :)
