ReVanced Manager - Instagram - Fails to Install - "Can't downgrade" despite ABD removal of Instagram

Hello and thanks to the ReVanced team.

Phone: Samsung S12 Ultra 5G
Android Version: 15

Here is my issues:

• Updated fresh install of Rebanced Manager 1.25.1
• Downloaded the no DPI version of Instagram as recommended: 401.0.0.48.79
• Used ADB to completely wipe Instagram from my phone
• Confirmed that Instagram is wiped
• Go back to Revanced manager and patch the app from storage
• Patch Succseful
• Click install
• Prompts "Do you want to install this app?", click "install"
• Dialoge comes up "Can't downgrade The installation failed due to the patched app being a lower version than the installed app. Uninstall the app and try again?", I click "ok"
• "Replace this app with the factory version? All data will be removed", I clock "ok"
• Nothing happens.
• This process loosp infinently unless cancelled.

Any help is much appreciated. I can provide more detail if required.

you can not remove preinstalled apps, not even with adb. If its preinstalled, the package name of the patched app needs to be changed with a patch, or root is required to mount over it. If Instagram is not preinstalled as a system app, you must uninstall the app correctly.

Thanks for your reply. My guess since it's a Samsung with bloat ware, that it was pre-installed.
