[UI Feedback] Issues regarding missing Custom Toolbar buttons and Right Sidebar toggle after update #8182

Hi @Userwei0418! I'm Dosu and I’m helping the Trilium team. The custom toolbar buttons (floating buttons) above the note were removed in the new UI layout to avoid covering note content and for usability reasons. Many custom script actions are now integrated into the ribbon area or as part of the NoteActionsCustom component, which appears above the note content in a container called For the right sidebar (Table of Contents/Info), the toggle button is now located in the tab row near your note tabs. Clicking the sidebar icon should hide or show the right sidebar. However, in version 0.101.0, there are known issues where the toggle button or keyboard shortcut may not work on some platforms. Temporary workarounds include switching to the horizontal layout, using the old layout, or downgrading to v0.100.0 until a fix is released. More info is available here. Let me know if you need help finding or migrating specific custom script buttons in the new UI. To reply, just mention @dosu. How did I do? Yes, the ribbon has been removed to reduce clutter and integrated across the application. See Removal of the ribbon for more information. If you have custom widgets that are based on the ribbon, you can either:
Please note that the ribbon was never truly customizable, @zadam intentionally didn't allow widgets to be placed in the ribbon. If you have widgets that do place things into the ribbon, they do that using a workaround. A workaround that is no longer supported. If you can provide the source code of the custom widgets you are using, perhaps we can discuss how to migrate them. Either way, the old layout should still be OK for now.
On the new layout, the sidebar is toggleable. We had an issue on macOS where the button would not be visible, it is already fixed on the latest nightly and we'll provide a release soon. If you're on a different button, then the button should work just fine. The button is at the right end of the tab bar. |

Description
Description: I recently updated the UI, and I encountered two main issues that are significantly affecting my workflow. I would appreciate it if you could look into them.
Formatting notes
Converting video links
Converting formulas
After the update, this bar seems to have disappeared, and I cannot find where these custom buttons have been moved to. My Request: I understand if the visual layout needs to be updated or moved, but the functionality must be preserved. I need a way to access or migrate my custom script buttons in the new UI. Could you please clarify where these are located now, or add support for them if they were removed?
Thank you for your hard work on Trilium!
