On Windows 10 Pro, trying to use TriliumNextNotes-v0.95.0-windows-x64 and others versions for the first time but keep getting this message after unpacking the zip and clicking on trilium.exe:

Direct migration from your current version is not supported. Please upgrade to the latest v0.60.4 first and only then to this version.

Don't have any version of Trillium installed. Also can't find a link to v0.60.4 on the site. Please advise

@ayoogh , perhaps you had an old version run at some point.

Identify your Trilium data directory according to the documentation and delete it. The installation processs should work fine afterwards.

Also, please note v0.95 is relatively old. We're at 0.101.3 now.

Thank you for your prompt and informative response. Yes, you are right, I must have tried it in the past - trilium-data has been removed, downloaded 0.101.3 and now looking forward to exploring the program to the fullest. Other note-taking software I investigated seemed too complex for a novice like me and being able to keep it all localized on my computer is a real plus.

BTW - the Desktop Installation notes make mention of a script to enable launching Trillium in portable mode (I have it running from an external drive so having the data in the installation directory would be great), please point me to where the script is located or how to activate it.
