Using tasks/TODO with calendar view

I am using TriliumNext with the Task manager included. When I view the TODO page and change the view to Calendar, it does not show any of my tasks. It seems I have to manually add a startDate= attribute to the tasks to have them shown on the calendar. I would like the calendar view to include items that have todoDate set. Is there any way to do that?

You can make tasks with a todoDate attribute show up in the calendar view by configuring the Collection note to use todoDate as the event date. Just add the label #calendar:startDate=todoDate to your Collection note (the one set to Calendar view). After this, any child note with a todoDate will appear on the calendar, even if it doesn't have a startDate set. Only notes with the specified date attribute will show up as events, and system attributes like creationDate can't be used directly for this purpose reference.

Thanks. That seems simple enough. I added #calendar:startDate=todoDate to the parent note. Items with todoDate still do not show up. I guess I am not sure this is "Collection note". I am using the Tasks example, and the page is called "TODO". I can select the view: Grid, List, Calendar etc. I select Calendar view from the drop-down at the top of the TODO page.

@aloomens , actually the issue is that #calendar:startDate needs to be added to the child notes, not to the parent note with the calendar. However there is a work-around for it, you can use #calendar:startDate(inheritable) instead.
