I see too many political/meme/shitposting type of issues that undermines the project vision, I mean everyone enjoys a good laugh once in a while, but they are not serious about x11libre and are just making fun of x11libre at this project expense, I honestly hate the fact that it is necessary but there are too many troll issues. |

Discussions can help lots of other things, For instance https://github.com/X11Libre/xserver/issues/45 really should be a discussion format instead of an issue ticket. Discussions can help contain tangentally relevant topics, people can also post setups and applications that would be helpful for for XLibre specific stuff. |

Discussion topics would be nice, even though I disagree that the Issue tab is being overrun, it would be cleaner. Seeing as how Metux hasn't even responded to a money offer, I think he isn't reading any of this anyway. If you want his attention you probably need to make a PR |

Also, the people here seem pretty cool and I recently started a Discord with minimal rules, oddly enough called "Libre". Nobody else is really using it so people here could join, I'll make a category specifically pertaining to XLibre. It's the most transparent Discord you'll ever see. |

thing nobody's mentioned is that issues basically are taking the place of discussions, there are tons of issues that aren't actual issues but instead suggestions that would be better.... in a discussion |

Nice! But discussion is enabled only for https://github.com/orgs/X11Libre/discussions. |

Also note that you can convert some issues into discussion (and, in my opinion, there are a lot of them...). To convert a GitHub issue to a discussion, navigate to the issue in your repository and click the "Convert to discussion" button in the right sidebar. |

Enabling Discussions on GitHub would help to avoid having the Issues overrun with chatter. Some projects prefer to run a Discord server and that's fine in addition, but Discussions are nice because they're searchable by default.
