See Status of Cache (total size, due for upload)

likte the titel says it would be nice to see what's going on with the cache , like how big it is in total and how many files / filesize wait for upload. the nativ rclone does do this in an acceptable way, but since we can't see that when running though rclone manager it would be nice to have the key information points exposed to us (I am assuming vfs cache mode "full"), but it should also apply to other settings

This was a good feature for RClone Manager. When remote mounted or served we can show the what happening on the cache.
Currently app support only mount, not capable for serve right now.

I also wants to ask. Where you want to see it?

On the mount tab?

• Add new card between Mount Control and Configuration Cards. Quick view, you can see whats happening under the mounted remotes.

Or as a new popup (Modal)?

• Need a couple more clicks.

to be honest I am a rather new user of rclone manager and don't fully understand the interface yet, but I'd say the first option sounds best. Perhaps also on the general overview page in the global job information or system information (aggregated view across all mounts)

I also need to separate the VFS viewers for Mount and Serve. I plan to add the viewer to the Serve details view, since serve also utilizes VFS.

I hope it was worth the wait, this update brings many improvements across the UI, VFS management, file browsing, and overall performance.

⚠️ Note about VFS limitations

There is an upstream limitation in rclone’s RC API affecting the VFS panel when multiple VFS instances are mounted on the same remote + same path.

Specifically:

• rc/vfs/stats returns an error if more than one VFS is active for the same target.
• rclone currently does not accept custom suffixes, so it’s impossible to uniquely identify each VFS instance via the API.
• As a result, when multiple identical VFS mount targets exist, rclone cannot fetch stats or control those instances individually.

I opened a detailed discussion on the rclone forum, which explains the issue and provides reproducible examples:

I love the implementation and performing a quick test seems to work fine.

A few minor suggestions:
it would be nice to see recently completed uploads
either in the same list but maybe in gray or marked as sucessfully uploaded

OR

make the "Cache File" counter clickable that brings you to a new page or popup that shows all cached files regardless if they were uploaded or just cached because they were opened

maybe these fields could be relevant to show in a table format:
name | path | total size | size on disk | last access | cached percentage (sizeOnDisk/TotalSize) | time until purged | status

status = { waiting for upload | uploading | successfully uploaded | fully downloaded | partially downloaded | opened for reading (streaming) | upload failed }

This would definitely be a useful feature, and I appreciate the detailed suggestions.
However, some of these behaviors are difficult to implement cleanly because they depend on functionality outside of RClone Manager. I rely heavily on rclone RC for handling file operations and RC doesn’t provide full visibility into certain details like upload status, caching state, or partial transfers.

Because of that, I can’t promise that all of these ideas can be implemented but I’ll think about possible ways to integrate something similar, or at least provide partial support where feasible.
