How to launch symlink to an exe without selecting the bottle?

Is there any environment variable that exists, or can I implement it with a launch using a bash script instead of directly accessing app.exe?

The goal is to create an app icon on the Linux desktop that allows a novice user to easily launch a Windows application without interacting with the Bottles UI.
