Game won't start unless I use launch with terminal

I have a bottle for gaming and added a game via shortcut. If I click the start icon next to the shortcut, the button changes to the stop icon but after a few seconds it changes back to the start icon. No windows popup or anything happens. If I click the menu next to the shortcut and use the "Launch with terminal" it launches a terminal and then the game starts as normal.

I'm using the latest version of bottles via flatpak on my fully updated steamdeck. I'm using the latest kron4ek wine staging tgk runner.
