recruiting more contributors

I think it would be beneficial if we could recruit more a diverse set of collaborators including more people who are starting out in tech/open source land.

It might help if we have a good list of shovel-ready tasks.

A note to existing org members: feel free to add folks as members who make contributions! It's no good having unnecessary human bottlenecks. Git is append-only so any mistake can be undone.
