Can this box be made to go away after x seconds or remove it when a compile is requested?

It is confusing when looking at the bottom right corner to see this box still being displayed. This red box remains even after the program compiled normally.

Can it be automagically be removed after x seconds and/or every time a compile is requested?

Unfortunately this is all VS Code behavior. As far as I know, extensions cannot control how and when notifications must disappear.
